Plague of Tyranny 3:520:00 / 3:52
The Self-Titled Debut Album
Lunacyst’s debut is a concept album. Each song is part of a gory, sci-fi tale that takes you on a journey through a vile and grotesque planet where the main character, Beirthoog, lives a wretched existence. This twisted tale is depicted on the album cover.
Lunacyst recorded their first 4 track demo in 2010 and played many shows in Bahrain and in Dubai supporting established acts such as Obscura and Nervecell. They were featured on the first live concert DVD to come out of the Arabian Gulf: Resurrection - The Bahrain Underground. The band were on hiatus but finally got back together and released their self-titled debut album in 2019 which is currently available on Spotify, Apple Music, BandCamp and wherever digital music is sold.
“From the opening track of ‘Plague Of Tyranny’, these lads ain’t fucking around with their brand of death metal that’s reminisce of old school death legends like ‘Asphyx’, ‘Pestilence’, ‘Morbid Angel’, & ‘Benediction’ with mixed influences from the more modern death metal acts such as ‘Skelatal Remains’, ‘Gojira’, ‘Decapitated’, & ‘Cardiac Arrest’ - 95/100” - Nathan McLeod - Metal To Infinity Webzine
“The record is definitly a surprise release for the year 2019 and should not be missed by every true fan of Death Metal or extreme Music. 10/10” - Dani Zed Reviews
“ Lunacyst surprised me with this self-titled album. Once more, our oft-forgotten Indian brethren remind me that the metal legion is going strong in all corners of the globe. Definitely give the album a listen and show them support if you dig it. 8.3/10” - MetalTrenches.com - FlightOfIcarus
